  • This course is designed to develop students’ fundamental listening comprehension skills at the CEFR A1 level. It introduces learners to familiar and everyday topics through a variety of short monologues and dialogues that reflect authentic spoken English. The lessons focus on recognizing familiar words, understanding specific details, identifying speakers’ intentions, and interpreting tone or emotion in simple communicative contexts.

    Learning Objectives:

    By the end of this course, students are expected to be able to:

    1. Recognize familiar words and phrases related to personal information, daily routines, numbers, and basic needs.

    2. Extract specific information from short, slow, and clear recordings about everyday situations.

    3. Understand the gist or main idea of short, predictable conversations in familiar contexts such as shopping, travel, or school life.

    4. Identify directions, places, and expressions related to giving and understanding simple instructions.

    5. Recognize the topic, purpose, and speaker’s tone or attitude in short spoken texts.

    Course Structure:

    The course consists of 14 lessons divided into thematic clusters as follows:
