      Welcome to Lesson 3 of A1 Listening Skills!

      In this lesson, you will learn how to recognize and write down numbers and prices when people talk about shopping. You will also practice understanding short, everyday conversations about buying things in rupiah, even when there are small distractions or price corrections.

      What You Will Learn

      • Identify prices and amounts of money when spoken clearly.

      • Understand short exchanges between buyers and sellers in markets or shops.

      • Recognize corrections or small misunderstandings during conversations about money.

      • Transcribe numbers and prices accurately in Indonesian rupiah.

      Before Listening

      1. Find a quiet place and use headphones for clear listening.

      2. Focus on numbers and prices—listen carefully to avoid confusing similar amounts (for example, forty and fourteen).

      3. You may listen to each audio twice before answering the questions.

      4. Take notes if necessary, especially when hearing price changes or totals.
