Information - Lesson 1

Due: Tuesday, 9 June 2026, 10:23 AM

Welcome to Lesson 1 of A1 Listening Skills!

In this lesson, you will practice how to recognize and write down names and numbers when people speak clearly and slowly. This is one of the most important listening skills for everyday situations such as phone calls, introductions, and filling out forms.

What You Will Learn?

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to:

  • Recognize familiar English names when spelled aloud.

  • Understand and write phone numbers correctly.

  • Identify small differences in sounds (for example: six vs. seven).

  • Respond correctly when checking or confirming spoken information.

Before Listening

  1. Make sure you are in a quiet place and using headphones for better audio quality.

  2. Listen carefully to each recording. You will hear names and numbers—focus on spelling and pronunciation.

  3. You may listen twice before answering the questions.

  4. Do not rush. It’s okay to replay and take notes while listening.

Good luck and enjoy your learning! May this lesson help you become a more confident listener in real-life situations.
